I was wondering about your new book, and wanted to know if these can be used with special needs children?

Smarty Pants music was created for a five-year-old Down Syndrome child. As a music teacher, it was difficult to find repetitive notation patterns in any published music series. So I wrote my own! This system has proven to be very successful with her. I have also used Smarty Pants music with students having autism and very young students with short attention spans. I am pleased with their progress.

Hello. I have always been a teacher! Working in public education for thirty years has been a wonderful and rewarding experience. Teaching piano has been so much fun and writing Smarty Pants Music is icing on the cake! I couldn't find simplistic, musical notation with repetition patterns for younger students...so I wrote my own. Thanks to wonderful students, parents and my publisher, Dr. Mike Prater, this adventure is ready to launch!!!! We hope to enable "anyone" to play the piano which is a life-long learning skill. Keep in touch! Let me know what you think of the products and what we can improve upon.
